Job Title: AVP, Ops Control and Compliance, Operations

Job Responsibilities:

1. Ensure Custodian Regulatory Compliance: The role involves ensuring that all custodian regulatory requirements are met, which is essential for maintaining the integrity and legal standing of the bank's operations.

2. Develop and Maintain Policies & Procedures: The candidate is responsible for the development and maintenance of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This includes continuous updating to align with new regulations.

3. Identify, Monitor, and Manage Compliance Risks: It is crucial to identify potential compliance risks, monitor them effectively, and manage them proactively to prevent any legal or regulatory issues.

4. Custodian Transaction Monitoring and Suspicious Activity Reporting: The role includes monitoring custodian transactions for any suspicious activities and reporting them accordingly to prevent any fraudulent activities.

5. Provide Training and Awareness for New/Updated Regulations to Custodian Team Members: The candidate must ensure that all team members are aware of and understand new or updated regulations through effective training sessions.

6. Escalate and Report Compliance Matters: The candidate is required to escalate and report any compliance matters to the appropriate authorities or internal departments to ensure timely resolution.

7. Liaise with Regulator, Police, and Prosecutor During Inspections and Inquiries: The role requires collaboration and communication with regulators, police, and prosecutors during inspections and inquiries to provide necessary information and maintain transparency.

Education and Experience Information:

- Bachelor's degree in law, finance, or accounting is required. - Professional certification in compliance is considered an advantage. - A minimum of 3 years of experience in securities services fund compliance (preferable) or risk management in a leadership role is necessary. - A strong background in banking, financial services, or regulatory institutions is essential. - Strong leadership and people management skills are required to lead and manage a team effectively. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities are necessary to handle complex compliance issues. - High integrity, ethical judgment, and independence are crucial for making unbiased compliance decisions. - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to interact with regulators, are necessary. - The candidate should have the initiative to oversee compliance programs effectively. - Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required. - The ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities is essential.
