Position Overview :

Assistant Director to supports the Director in managing the day-to-day operations, and is responsible for helping lead the strategic vision, overall management, and operational success of the agency. This role involves assisting with strategic planning, business development, ensuring compliance with international and national maritime and employment regulations, maintaining strong client and crew relationships, and driving company growth.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist the Director in executing the company's strategic plans to achieve growth and profitability.

· Help provide leadership and direction to all departments, including Operations, Recruitment, Compliance, IT, and Human Resources.

· Build and sustain relationships with clients, government bodies, and other stakeholders.

· Support the management of administrative functions including documentation, licensing, and certification processes.

· Ensure adherence to maritime industry standards, employment laws, and safety regulations.

· Help oversee the recruitment, training, and deployment of crew members, ensuring high-quality service delivery.

· Oversee financial activities, including budgeting, reporting, and cost control.

· Maintain a strong understanding of global maritime industry trends, labor market dynamics, and regulatory changes affecting crew deployment.

· Ensure the company meets all legal and ethical standards, including licensing and certification requirements.

· Represent the company at industry events, government meetings, and in negotiations.

· Foster a positive work environment and promote corporate social responsibility initiatives.

· Provide weekly reports to and engage in productive discussions with the Director.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)

Minimum 10 years of experience in the maritime industry, crew management, or related fields

Proven leadership, strategic planning, and operational management skills

Strong understanding of both Indonesian and international maritime regulations

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Ability to build and sustain relationships across all levels - clients, regulators, and internal teams

Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English required; Mandarin proficiency is a strong advantage
