Description:

The AI Product Owner is responsible for leading the development effort by articulating the product vision and prioritizing work to maximize business value. Serving as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the Product Team, this role ensures stakeholder interests are effectively represented in product releases. The main purpose of the position is to define the product, manage the product roadmap, and oversee the business aspects of the project to ensure the right product is built in the correct sequence. Key areas of focus include work prioritization, decision-making, and maintaining clear communication channels with all parties involved. Ultimately, the Product Owner ensures timely delivery of high-quality products that align with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee, review, and approve the product vision to ensure it aligns with organizational strategy and addresses stakeholder needs.
2. Oversee stakeholder engagement processes to ensure requirements are effectively captured, clarified, and prioritized for product development.
3. Oversee backlog management processes to ensure alignment with business priorities and stakeholder expectations.
4. Oversee the sprint planning process to ensure alignment with product and business priorities and verify the effectiveness of planning outcomes.
5. Oversee the decision-making process for feature prioritization, scope, and trade-offs to ensure alignment with business objectives.
6. Ensure all product increments adhere to quality expectations and meet established acceptance standards throughout the project lifecycle.
7. Oversee the feedback process and ensure timely resolution of issues to support effective communication and alignment.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field.
• Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Certifications such as CPM (Certified Product Manager), ACPMPO (Advanced Certified Product Manager/Product Owner), PMP (Project Management Professional), or relevant product management or project management certifications are advantageous.
• Additional certifications in AI/ML, Product Management, or Project Management (PMP, SAFe) are a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in product ownership, product management, or a related role, with at least 5 years in AI/ML-driven product development.
• Proven track record of managing AI-based products, including NLP, ML, or generative AI solutions.
• Strong experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and stakeholder prioritization.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa, ensuring alignment between AI capabilities and organizational goals.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (data scientists, engineers, UX designers, and business stakeholders) in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in financial services, healthcare, or technology-driven industries is advantageous.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts, model lifecycle management, and ethical AI considerations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Strategic mindset focused on delivering business value through AI innovation.
