About the role

We are hiring on behalf of our sister company located in Gianyar, Bali, and are looking for a highly experienced Accounting & Tax Specialist to join the team. This contract-based role plays a key function in overseeing the company's financial records, tax reporting, and compliance activities. Your contribution will help ensure the company operates efficiently and adheres to all relevant Indonesian financial and tax regulations.

What you'll be doing

1. Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns and other tax-related documentation
2. Provide tax planning advice and strategies to minimise the company's tax liability
3. Maintain comprehensive financial records and ensure the accuracy of accounting data
4. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management and regulatory authorities
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective implementation of financial and tax-related policies and procedures
6. Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and advise the company accordingly
7. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficiencies in the accounting and tax functions

What we're looking for

1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar accounting and tax specialist role, preferably within the Taxation industry
3. In-depth knowledge of Indonesian tax laws, regulations and compliance requirements
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
5. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all financial and tax-related tasks
6. Proficient in the use of accounting software and technology tools
7. Strong English communication skills (written and verbal), especially for reporting and cross-functional collaboration
8. Preferably based in Bali or willing to relocate
