Job Title: Accounting Manager (with Sage 300 ERP Expertise)

Location: Mengwi, Bali, Indonesia

Reports To: Financial Controller, CFO, General Manager

Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for the overall management of the company's accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting principles and regulations, and efficient utilization of the Sage 300 ERP system. This role involves supervising accounting staff, optimizing financial processes, and providing strategic financial insights to management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting & Analysis:
  • Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of all financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other financial reports, leveraging Sage 300 capabilities.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting, to identify areas for improvement and support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting standards (e.g., PSAK in Indonesia) and company policies.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes within Sage 300, ensuring all entries are accurate and reconciled.
  1. General Accounting Operations:
  • Supervise and train accounting staff (e.g., Accounts Payable Clerks, Accounts Receivable Specialists, Bookkeepers).
  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and payroll interface.
  • Manage cash flow, capital planning, and intercompany transactions.
  • Ensure proper record-keeping and archiving of financial documents.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  1. Policy & Procedure Development:
  • Establish, implement, and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage tax filings as required.
  1. Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Assist in the development and management of company budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor actual expenditures against budget and provide regular variance analysis.

Qualifications:

  1. Education:

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, CA) are highly desirable.

  2. Experience:
  • Minimum of [e.g., 5-7] years of progressive accounting experience, with at least [e.g., 2-3] years in an Accounting Manager or similar supervisory role.
  • Proven, hands-on expertise with Sage 300 ERP (formerly Accpac) is essential. This includes experience with module setup, daily transactions, periodic processing (month-end/year-end close), reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in [specific industry, if applicable, e.g., construction, manufacturing, retail] is a plus.
  1. Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Sage 300 ERP.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (for data analysis and reporting).
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Crystal Reports or other reporting tools for Sage 300 is a plus.
