One of the well-known players in the Venture Capital space is looking to hire VP of Investment and Portfolio Management for their organisation. The scope will not only be covering Indonesia, but with the potential to oversee their investment fund across SEA.

The selected candidate will be expected to partner and provide support with the entrepreneurs. Other responsibilities includes:

• Budgeting the capital allocation for the current and potential portfolios depending on their performance.
• Monitoring and managing the performance of existing investments in the firms portfolio. This involves tracking key metrics, analysing financial performance, and providing strategic guidance to portfolio companies.
• Offering strategic advice and guidance to the leadership teams of portfolio companies to help them scale, grow, and navigate challenges - and this includes the like of business development, market expansion, fundraising, and operational improvements.
• Working and building relationships with the potential or existing founders to create value through various areas such as growth, talent, fund raising, business development and product development.
• Building strong relationships with founders, CEOs, and key stakeholders of portfolio companies to understand their needs, align strategies, and provide ongoing support.
• Participating in the due diligence process for potential investments, evaluating market opportunities, assessing risks, and analysing financial and business models of prospective companies.
• Performing and preparing analysis on investment opportunities including forecasts, valuation and exit analysis.
• Demonstrating functional competence and deep industry knowledge.
• Collaborating with the other team members to assess potential investment opportunities, conducting research, presenting findings, and making recommendations on whether to invest in specific start ups.
• Engaging with the broader start up ecosystem, attending industry events, networking with entrepreneurs, and fostering relationships with other investors to source potential deals and stay updated on market trends.

Because of the highly competitiveness of the process, this role is only opened for Indonesians with excellent communication in English and Bahasa. To seize the opportunity to work for this highly dynamic client, you should be/have:

• University graduate major from Tier 1 University only. MBA degree from top universities will be highly preferred.
• Experience working and investing, or portfolio management throughout SEA with emphasis in Indonesia.
• Literacy in financial modelling and finance background will be highly preferred.
• At least 6+ years of working experience with track record strategy consulting, venture capital, investment banking and/or corporate strategy.
• Eagerness to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders, and also creating valuable partnerships.
• Excellent problem solving, analytic and decision-making skills.
• Passionate in creating the digital ecosystem, and connecting with founders + possess entrepreneur mindset.
• Not afraid of numbers/targets.
• Strong business acumen, self-motivated, excellent interpersonal and adaptability, energetic and result oriented.
• Excellent time and project management skill with the ability to coach and mentor.
