Background : The Consumer Incentives Team plays a crucial role in Gojek’s success by designing and implementing a full-stack machine learning pipeline. This pipeline enables us to optimize and distribute incentives to our customers in a targeted and efficient manner, driving user engagement and achieving business objectives. As a Data Scientist in this team, you will work closely with stakeholders from the transport, food, and logistics domains, ensuring effective communication of technical concepts to non-technical partners. Your expertise and insights will shape our incentive strategies, enabling Gojek to stay ahead in a competitive market and deliver exceptional experiences to our customers.

Requirements:

  • A strong academic background in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related disciplines.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Data Scientist, focusing on machine learning and predictive analytics.
  • Proficiency in Python coding and data manipulation libraries (e.g., NumPy, Pandas).
  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts and techniques, such as A/B testing, hypothesis testing, regression, and classification.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and deliver high-quality results within deadlines.
  • Experience with causal inference is a plus
  • Experience working with stakeholders from the transport, food, or logistics industries is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is desirable

  • Develop and deploy machine learning models to optimize incentive distribution for Gojek’s consumer base.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders from transport, food, and logistics domains to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable data science solutions.
  • Analyze large-scale datasets (>100m rows) to extract actionable insights and drive decision-making processes.
  • Build data pipelines and perform feature engineering to enhance model performance and accuracy.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts and data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders, enabling them to make informed business decisions.
  • Monitor and evaluate model performance, identifying areas for improvement and proposing solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning techniques, bringing innovative ideas to the team.
