Financial Controller

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Financial Controller (FC) would be responsible for all accounting, tax, cash management, budgeting/forecasting, payroll as well as overseeing the internal controls of Wall Street English Indonesia. The FC will also be the primary point of contact for banks, tax authorities, external vendors and the franchisor. The FC will be the primary ‘gate-keeper’ of the company’s finances.

The Finance Controller will manage a team of 5-7 people and will be part of the senior management team.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day company accounts and tax reporting
• Payroll management working with HR and external payroll software
• Monthly management reporting including operational and financial analysis
• Produce periodic forecasting and budgeting
• Continuous improvement of company’s overall internal controls
• Assist with investor reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/relevant degree with 5+ years relevant experience
• Experience in statutory and management accounts preparation
• Experience with financial accounting/tax software
• Experienced with financial analysis
• Fluent in English
• Conscientious, organised and has a strong attention to detail
• Growth mindset and collaborative
• Experience studying or working abroad preferred

A successful FC would be involved in the assessment and execution of potential new business opportunities, investments and negotiations with external parties.
