Responsibilities: JOB SCOPE: The role is responsible for overseeing and ensuringpliance with corporate, employment and VAT taxation matters for the Weatherford East Med Group ofpanies. The role will be hands on with the preparation and review of returns/tax packs but also require proactiveness to see the larger scale business agenda. The role requires tax advice and rmendations to reduce the business risks and, where appropriate, maximise tax benefits. The canate needs to ensure Weatherford is not onlypliant with regulations but are ahead of the curve with legislation demands and changes. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The Tax Manager is responsible for the local taxpliances, and for the development and documentation of procedures and controls related to the tax function.
• Implement integrated, efficient tax strategies, policies, practices and work plans in accordance with Weatherford policy Will team work with tax and finance colleagues to ensure that tax issues and initiatives are properly reflected in the financial statements and tax returns.
• Manage the tax audits and prepare an audit readiness files for all open years.
• Deliver a full range of local taxpliances, and adapting to the dynamic tax law changes in the country.
• Review all contracts and tenders from tax perspective.
• Review of RTA and TBBS for US GAAP purposes.
• Coordinate with the region tax team.
• Review or prepare schedules and memos requested by our external auditors and manage the audit process.
• Managepeting priorities and consistently meet/beat deadlines.
• Manage and assist with special projects as needed.
• Support, train and coach finance and accounting staff for tax requirements
• Compliance with transfer pricing regulations and assist with the preparation of transfer pricing documentation prepared by the TP team.

Qualifications: SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

• Degree in Accountancy/ Professional accounting or tax qualification e.g. CPA/ ACCA/ CTA etc.
• Should possess excellent project management,munication, coordination, interpersonal, and influence management skills.
• Must have the ability to work in a team environment and build consensus is critical, as is an ability and interest to quickly understand the industry of Weatherford.
• Arabic speaking is essential.
• Proficiency with MS Office is required.
• Minimum five years tax experience with a large firm.
• General knowledge of the IFRS, US GAAP, corporate taxation and statutory accounts.
• Experience in tax strategy implementation and tax planning support.
• Good understanding of the reconciliation process between US GAAP, IFRS and tax returns and the impact of such reconciliation on the current and deferred tax calculation.
