About the role

Reporting to the Environmental and OHS Manager, this full-time Asisten Inspektor K3L Pabrik Alumina (Mandarin Speaking) position is crucial in ensuring the safety, health, and environmental protection of PT WESTERFIELD ALUMINA INDONESIA's alumina processing plant in Tayan Hilir, West Kalimantan.

What you'll be doing

Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the company's occupational health, safety, and environmental management systems

Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential safety, health, and environmental risks

Provide training and guidance to employees on safe work practices, emergency response procedures, and environmental compliance

Investigate incidents and accidents, and implement corrective and preventive measures

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the plant's operations adhere to relevant regulations and industry best practices

Maintain comprehensive records and reporting on the plant's OHS and environmental performance

Provide Mandarin-Chinese translation and interpretation support as needed

What we're looking for

Relevant diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field

At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within the mining or manufacturing industry

Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, both written and spoken, in addition to fluency in Bahasa Indonesia

Strong understanding of OHS and environmental regulations, standards, and best practices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with all levels of the organisation

Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks

Commitment to fostering a safe and sustainable work environment
