Does not a single piece of detail escape you? Do you like to encourage and coach others in their work? Are you reliable and friendly? Then we are looking for you; a passionate Housekeeping Supervisor who would like a challenge at the Park Inn by Radisson Amsterdam City West!

You will start your day by checking in the system how many check-outs and stay overs there are for the day. There was a big event in Amsterdam yesterday and the hotel is fully booked. So, there are a lot of check-outs today. Because you know where your teams strengths lie, you know how to plan well to make it another successful day. In a joint briefing, you discuss the day with the team and inform everyone about todays particulars. After this briefing, everyone knows what to do and gets to work. Today you have an extra challenge, as it is the first working day of a new Room Attendant. You have paired her with an experienced colleague who knows about this. During the day, you will check whether everything is going well and help train this new Room Attendant. Meanwhile, you receive reports from the other room attendants that a number of rooms have already been delivered clean. You go there to check whether the rooms are ready for the next guest. The rooms are nice and clean and you make a note of this in the system so that the Front Office is informed. After all that flying back and forth, its time for a break. After your break, you are called by a room attendant. The room she is in is a havoc. You rush over and help her strip the room so that you stay on schedule. In the end, all of you as a team manage to get all the rooms clean. You thank the team for todays top performance. Afterwards, over a cup of tea with the new room attendant and accompanying colleague, you evaluate the day. It was a productive day, time to go home!

Your duties and responsibilities include:

• Directly managing and coaching a team of 5 room attendants, total team consists of 30 RAs
• Alternately responsible for the opening shift, assigning rooms to the room attendants and responsible for closing shift
• Co-responsible for the linen and uniform room
• Actively involved in the delivering on the job training sessions and giving feedback to room attendants
• Ensuring that the highest level of cleanliness and brand standards are achieved in our 476 rooms
• Keeping the fun factor alive within the team, as this is what keeps our team motivated and energised in this physically challenging profession

What do you bring to this role:

• You have a hands-on mentality
• You have at least 2 years experience in leading a team of room attendants
• You have a valid work permit & BSN registration (if applicable) and health insurance
• You understand that all action happens on the floors and not at the computer
• You have a passion for Housekeeping and everything to do with cleaning
• You speak and write the English language perfectly, Dutch is an added bonus
