AM - Procurement - 3rd Party & Raw Material North Sumatra, Indonesia Oleochemical - FMCG 7-10 years Bachelor’s degree in any relevant engineering field Local Indonesian English Proficiency is Mandatory As Per The Market Standard Job Roles and Responsibilities To ensure the companys needs for non-production material, spare part, capex project procurement & service of user (engineering, WPS, laboratory, IT, logistics and SHE) are met with the right quality, time and price, carried out in accordance with Companys procedures by taking into the entire management system implemented in the company. We are seeking an Assistant Manager of Procurement to oversee and manage the procurement of equipment, machinery, and raw materials (non-oil) for our oleochemical process plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, supplier management, negotiation, and a deep understanding of the materials and equipment required for our industry.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the companys goals and objectives, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
2. Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, evaluate supplier performance, and negotiate terms and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.
3. Sourcing: Identify potential suppliers, conduct market research, and source the best materials, equipment, and machinery to meet the plants production requirements.
4. Cost Management: Analyze pricing trends, manage procurement budgets, and work to reduce costs while maintaining product quality and reliability.
5. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all procured equipment and materials meet quality standards and specifications required for the oleochemical process.
6. Inventory Control: Oversee inventory levels and maintain optimal stock levels to support production schedules and prevent shortages.
7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies in procurement processes.
8. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with production, engineering, and finance teams to align procurement activities with overall plant goals and schedules.
9. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks in the procurement process, such as supply chain disruptions or quality issues.
10. Reporting: Prepare and present procurement reports, including cost analyses, vendor performance evaluations, and supply chain KPIs, to senior management.

Skills and Key Requirements

• Possess a bachelor’s degree.
• Good understanding of buying process & have knowledge in chemicals market price
• Good understanding for Oleochemicals & Surfactant product
• Mastering the SAP system for the procurement module
• Mastering operational computer (Ms. Office basic function or equivalent).
• Good proficiency in English is a must & understand chinesse is preferable.
• Business acumen mindset with commercial growth behaviour embedded.
• Good understanding of buying process & have knowledge in chemicals or packaging market price (specially for market in China)
