About this role With an emerging portfolio in urban mobility, Arup requires a motivated indiual with proven Transport Planning leadership skills. The purpose of this role is to support the planning offering in Arup’s Jakarta office. This is a high impact role thatprises client engagement, work winning, project delivery, discipline leadership and technical advice. You will support and be supported by a team of 6+ Jakarta based transport planners, nearly 25 transport planning staff across Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines and 120 across Australia.

What will I do?

• You will proe timely and high quality technical advice to clients in Project Director or Project Manager roles where you will take a long-term strategic view of the business and contribute to Arup’s development plan and negotiate contracts and agreements with customers and suppliers.
• You will lead pursuits of major transport projects in Indonesia, including stakeholder liaison prior to tenders being released, You will write and review successful proposals and tender documents, help to assemble teams and manage the proposal process.
• You will be the team leader, accountable for significantplex trasportaion planning projects in which you will develop work programs, set budgets, manage deliverables, manage staff resources, successfully deliver projects on time and to budget, and cultivate client relationships.
• You will be responsible for work products, demonstrating client-centric andpelling narratives from technical analyses. You will direct and review transport planning work performed by the er transport planning team.
• You will proe sound team leadership, coaching and development by establishing and supporting a culture of quality and client care. You will share your experience and lend to the technical excellence of the broader Arup team and support recruitment, appraisals, performance development, morale and motivation of staff.

What will I bring?

• Advanced degree in Transport planning/engineering with at least 15 years of relevant experience in Startgic transport planning, bus, rail planning in a consulting business environment.
• Strong relationships with some key clients such as MOT, PUPR and key City Governments (e.g. Semarang, Surabaya, Medan, Bandung).
• Influential and active in the Indonesian transport planningmunity – e.g. Indonesian Transport association (regular sharing at forums, leadership role).
• Experience leading Projects across the project life cycle, from business case through to reference design within a consulting business environment.
• Membership of a relevant professional institution or eligibility for such membership.
