An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Band 4, full time (37.5 hours per week) Assistant Psychologist on 9-month temporary contract, for East Cheshire CMHT /Macclesfield. This is a new role, partly funded by Health Education England to support applicants whose social and financial circumstances may have limited their opportunities to pursue the career pathway in Clinical Psychology. Your role will involve supporting the Principle Clinical psychologist /a small psychology team to deliver basic psychological services such as trauma informed assessments/formulations, manualised psychological interventions, evaluation and audit. You will be working alongside an integrated CMHT working with adults and older adults experiencing severe and enduring mental health problems We are looking to recruit highly motivated Assistant Clinical Psychologist to work within CWP at our Community Mental Health team (CMHT) based in Macclesfield. To join us, you will need to be: a graduate with an Honours Psychology degree of 2.1 and eligibility for Graduate Membership of BPS; be enthusiastic, values driven, have strong interpersonal and communication skills . We are looking for people who are passionate about supporting service users experiencing severe mental health problems in their recovery journeys. This post is for candidates who have experienced financial disadvantage (for example you may have received a grant or bursary to support you during your undergraduate and/or MSc/MA, you may be the first university graduate in your family, you may have caring responsibilities which limits your ability to earn etc. CWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care - including the provision of three GP surgeries.
