As an Accountant at Caterpillar, you will perform various routine costing and inventory accounting tasks in support of PT Caterpillar Indonesia Batam facility.

Shift: Regular

Work Location: Batam, Kepulauan Riau

Travel Requirement: 10%

You will work both in an office and manufacturing shop-floor environment.

Domestic relocation is available for this position.

What You Will Do:

• Responding to inquiries and contacting other departments to resolve a variety of problems.

• Analyze manufacturing costs and inventory levels to ensure accuracy and efficiency in cost allocation. Conduct regular inventory reconciliations and oversee the valuation process.

• Creating reports on cost analysis, inventory valuation, and related financial metrics for internal and external use.

• To control and analyze all records related to standard and actual costs, to ensure that necessary actions are taken and to make updates at regular intervals.

• Making monthly, quarterly, and annual cost analyses on product basis.

• Upon request, take part in special projects and ad hoc reporting requests.

• Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

What Skills You Have (Required):

• The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.

• Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

• Effective Communications . Good proficiency in English. Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

• Problem Solving : Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Top Candidates Will Also Bring:

• Technical skills or knowledge of SAP SO (especially costing modules), PowerBI and Microsoft Office.

• Manufacturing environment background.

Physical Requirements (With or Without Reasonable Accommodation):

• This job requires extensive active movement throughout the plant including climbing stairs and steps, lifting devices, and pushing and pulling equipment.
