About the Senior Direct Procurement Manager (Electronics Manufacturing) Role:
Reporting to the VP Procurement, you will lead all direct procurement activities in manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and supervise supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, productivity, and alignment with the companys strategy
• Suggest actions (such as multi-sourcing, mitigating the risk of global material shortages, quality value engineering, supplier changes, outsourcing, Lean practices, new projects, project transfers, analysis, market benchmarking) within the specified scope consistent with the commodity strategy
• Collaborate with the Commodity Manager prior to localising or altering business allocation
• Direct supplier consultation and selection in line with the commodity strategy
• Handle supply qualification, negotiate, and oversee contracts with local or specific suppliers
• Contribute to updating the purchasing database by providing essential information to commodity managers or supplier leaders; update specific criteria
• Act as the primary point of contact for addressing supplier crises
• Monitor progress towards quality and cost reduction objectives associated with action plans and productivity programs (e.g. QVE, supplier changes, negotiations)
• Manage vendor relationships effectively
• Initiate, define, plan, communicate, and oversee projects involving supplier changes, QVE ideas, outsourcing, ensuring timely implementation for success in prioritising customer needs, enhancing productivity, and ensuring supplier capability meets company standards
• Communicate with relevant entities, particularly at the regional level, regarding project launches

To succeed in this Senior Direct Procurement Manager (Electronics Manufacturing) role, you must have great connections with electronic parts vendors and the ability to manage high number of SKUs.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or Business Administration
• At least seven years direct experience in procurement/sourcing (direct material of electronics), including a minimum of two to three years in a managerial role
• Comprehensive understanding of business
• Excellent command of English
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office
• Demonstrated strong organisational, analytical, and writing abilities
• Readiness to relocate to Batam, housing allowance is provided
