POSITION TITLE : HSE MANAGER (OPEN TO ALL NATIONALITIES)
INDUSTRIES : MINING COOPER AND LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS (LNG)
CONTRACT TENURE : 36MONTH
SITE LOCATION : GRASBERG MINE, PAPUA INDONESIA.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The HSE Manager will report to the General Manager, working on a 8 weeks on 3 weeks off FIFO roster. The role of the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager exists to give direction and guidance to the project to ensure that every employee and contractor return from work to their home in the same way in which they came to work, and to protect the natural environment from harm :)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
1. Ensure occupational health and safety and environmental plans and procedures for all project activities are developed, implemented and complied with, in line with project management standards;
2. Identify and manage all of the HSE risks associated with the project, including business and operational risks;
3. Ensure all HSE standards, plans, procedures etc are conveyed to all staff and contractors working on the project;
4. Lead a culture of reporting hazards, incidents and near miss events and ensure they are appropriately investigated and actioned to prevent recurrence;
5. Manage a small local HSE team to oversee site HSE requirements during operations;
6. Ensure all site personnel are clear about their HSE roles and responsibilities and how their performance will be assessed and managed through the development of position descriptions and KPI’s;
7. Communicate effectively with all personnel to ensure that there is an understanding of and support for the HSE goals and aspirations of GRASBERG mining site.
