Data Scientist / Senior Software Engineer - Machine Learning and Artificial
NorthBay Solutions, a rapidly growing onshore/offshore AWS Premier Consulting Partner, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist / Senior Software Engineer specializing in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. This role, based in Jakarta, Indonesia, requires a creative individual with a strong passion for innovation and a diverse technology environment. The successful candidate will have 6 to 8+ years of hands-on experience in designing and developing machine learning models, deploying ML/AI models, and extensive proficiency in Python scripting and frameworks.

Job Responsibilities:
Machine Learning Model Design and Development:

• Design and develop machine learning models with a focus on innovation and out-of-the-box thinking.
• Utilize 6 to 8+ years of hands-on experience in designing and developing machine learning models.

Deployment of ML/AI Models:

• Hands-on experience in deploying ML/AI models in various environments.
• Familiarity with LLM Models, GPT, Prompt Engineering, Chatbots, Vector DBs, and LangChain.

Programming Proficiency:

• Strong proficiency in Python scripting and working knowledge of Jupyter Notebooks.
• Fluency in Python frameworks such as NumPy, pandas, pyspark, TensorFlow, OpenCV, Yolo, and other deep learning frameworks.

AWS Integration:

• Experience using AWS ML Services, including SageMaker, Ground Truth, ECS, Cognito, Cloud Watch, RDS: Postgres, API Gateway, and Lambda.
• Expertise in managing and integrating with core AWS Services.

Machine Learning Expertise:

• Expert knowledge in NLP, text classification, and/or computer vision using machine learning.
• Experience in identifying objects & events, processing inference, and utilizing results for dashboards.

Project Experience:

• 3 to 10+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML with a proven track record of successfully delivering 2 to 3 or more projects in areas such as Model Fine-Tuning, Training Foundational Models, Vector Embedding, Management of integrating with products, Human in loop feedback, and Foundation model and Multi-modality.

AWS Certification:

• AWS certification is a plus.

Communication Skills:

• Strong communication skills in Bahasa and English to collaborate with various stakeholders, including customers.

Team Management:

• Ability to manage and mentor a team of engineers.
