Job Overview:

Responsible for provisioning of Information Technology services supporting McDermott marine assets and revenue generating projects. Providing technical guidance to Batam IT Operations team. Working on complex IT Operations issues impacting end users. Would be working closely with site IT lead, other IT functions and the business in determining how technology might assist in addressing their needs and requirements.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Installing, configuring, documenting and maintaining PCs and other end users equipments deployed at McDermott marine assets.
• Supporting IT services for marine campaigns.
• Forecasting and maintaining IT equipment adequacy for McDermott marine assets.
• Establishing and controlling security levels and systems access.
• Planning, implementing and coordinating systems maintenance and backup.
• Analyse the teams workload and activity to drive efficiency and focus towards TTR’s, SLAs and KPI’s.
• Providing training and support for marine and yard based end users community.
• Ensuring that all departmental policies and procedures are followed.
• Planning and coordinating operational activities within an organization such as meetings, events, or conferences.
• Any other duties or responsibilities as instructed by the Batam IT Lead.
• Maintain communication with functional managers to ensure issues are resolved.
• Generate reports for management in regards to service availability, uptime, and adherence to standard operating procedures and SLAs etc.
• Continual service improvement through best practise and new and innovative technologies.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers.

Essential Qualifications & Education:

• Degree in Computer Science and related work experience.
• 5 - 8 years experience in IT Operations Management and new rollouts.
• Advanced skills Microsoft Server OS, MS Azure and Cisco Equipments.
• ITIL v3/v4 is mandatory.
• CCNA and Microsoft 365 Certified is preferable.
• Understanding of IT operations on resolving hardware/ software / RF/ Satellite / mobile / marine communications and related IT infrastructure issues.
• Knowledge of IT Infrastructure, Networking, Windows Admins and Data Center management.
• Must be able to resolve issues within the same day.
• Technically competent and must have the ability to pick on new technologies immediately / Fast learner.
• Demonstrated ability to perform change management in similar field.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all management levels.
