Process Engineer - Fatty Alcohol Indonesia Oleochemical - FMCG 5+years Bachelors degree in Chemical/ Process Engineering, or a related field.
Local Indonesian English Proficiency is Mandatory As Per The Market Standard Job Roles and Responsibilities Provides technical support to assigned unit in Fatty Alcohol plant operations to meet plant production volume, on spec quality and customer requirement as per target with appropriately ways, cost effective, also comply with environment and sustainability. Keeping and improving human resource quality in Fatty Alcohol Plant. Identifies process problems, carries out studies, recommends solutions, and implements improvements in coordination with Operations and Project Engineering. To monitor efficiency and yield in the production, also to lead and coordinate all activities related to continuous improvement, new technology implementation, production trial run, changes in raw material and process condition and projects that related with new equipment installation or addition of new lines.
Principal Responsibility :

• Review detail process engineering deliverables, request for quotations (RFQs), Technical quotations,

technical bids analysis(TBE), Liquidated Damages (LD), Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP), and 3D Module Review during the project phase.

• Review SOPs, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, Start-Up and normal operating procedures

including safety, emergency and shutdowns.

• Conduct process training sessions for Operations personnel

• Ensure that MOC procedure is applied to plants changes.

• Ensure that project communicated changes are reflected in all technical documents (PFDs, P&IDs,

Data Sheets..etc), in compliance with operation philosophy and not exceeding design utilities capacities.

• Follow up with the project team on all technical action items generated by CSU (commissioning and

start-up) program and ensure timely closure.

• Provide technical support to CSU (commissioning and start-up) team during commissioning and

startup phases.

• Support PSSR & HSE- Technical Compliance Audit if needed.

• Provide technical support to shift operations for plants’ monitoring and troubleshooting till reaching

design capacity and on-spec products.

• Optimizing process performance and ensure continuous work improvement by effectively analyzing

the process parameters in order to meet the production targets.

• Review and execute process related performance tests provided by equipment’s vendors either as

separate procedure or as part of the overall plant performance test.

• Study/analyze plant design and performance to assure operability and safety of units at optimum

operating conditions.

• Lead technical team in performing all test-runs. This includes RFSU (Ready for Start-Up test), PAT

(Performance Acceptance Test with Licensors), Commercial (Lenders Acceptance Test), new product test, Catalyst Change-out test, and revamp test. This requires preparing monitoring data sheets in advance.

• Participate in the daily Operations meetings at the assigned unit with Operations personnel. Review

the last 24 hours plant’s performance (plant’s throughput, product’s spec., problems encountered and utilities/chemicals consumption.

• Analyze collected data, identify deviations and advice process recommendations for corrective

solutions.

• Conduct short/long-term feasibility studies to optimize plant’s performance and issue technical report

addressed to operations and other concerned departments as convenient. The report shall include recommended future modifications and associated benefits compared to current situation.

• Prepare periodical technical presentations/reports, provide process engineering coverage during

emergencies/shutdowns and represent PED in various technical meetings.

• Perform production data analysis and implement continuous improvement.

• Perform troubleshooting in production related to operational issue, productivity and product quality.

• Coordinate with Quality Assurance regarding the plant validation and product validation.

• Coordinate with Quality Assurance regarding product quality improvement.

• Coordinate with maintenance regarding reliability improvement.

• Change recipe or process condition.

• As a company representative to control the projects to achieved performance guarantee and fulfill

company requirement.

• Ensure the all activity conducted by requirement of quality, food safety, environment, occupational

health and safety. Skills and Key Requirements

• Three years experience in Manufacturing as Process Engineer Fatty Alcohol or Manufacturing

Leader;

• Capable to operate MS Windows, MS Office and AutoCad;

• Capable to calculate the data thoroughly and accurate;

• Strong analytical thinking abilities;

• Capable to handle the plant / fatty alcoholl manufacturing;

• Have knowledge about employement ‘s rule;

• Have highly integrity, honestly, highly motivation, highly analytical, has strong problem solving

skills, good self interpersonnel and can work personally or team;

• Have strong leadership skills and able to lead a big team;

• Can use English well by writing or speaking;

• Project Management;

• Safety and quality oriented;

• Analytical Thinking, DCS Operation and Read P&ID;

• Well versed in English both written or verbally;

• Good analytical skill, sharp and energetic;
