OONA Insurance was founded as PT Asuransi Bina Dharma Arta in Jakarta on 12 October 1982. On 1999, PT Asuransi Bina Dharma Arta became public company and rebranded to PT Asuransi Bina Dana Arta Tbk, or also known as ABDA. Since 9 February 2023, ABDA Insurance has rebranded name to OONA Insurance.

OONA focuses on providing protection against any losses or damages, such as Fire, Vehicles, Engineering, Liability, Transportation, Heavy Equipment & Machinery, Health Protection and many more.

Job Summary:
The Head of Agency-Life will be responsible for directing and overseeing the operations of the Life agency distribution channel within the organization. This includes strategic planning, recruitment, training, performance management, and driving sales of general insurance products through a network of life insurance agents. The individual will ensure that the life agency distribution meets the company’s growth aspiration, as well as ensuring the infrastructure readiness to support the life agency distribution growth and business practice that is in compliant with the regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the life agency distribution channel that aligns with the companys objectives.

Recruitment and Training: Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of life insurance agents to integrate general insurance solution into their business and to oversee the development of internal agency sales team to ensure a high-performing sales force.

Performance Management: Set recruitment & sales targets, monitor achievements, and implement corrective actions to address underperformance.

Sales: Drive the sales of general insurance products through the life insurance agency force Compliance and Ethics: Ensure all business processes comply with industry regulations and company policies. Promote a culture of integrity and ethical sales practices.

Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including life agents and cross-functional internal divisions.
Bachelors degree Proven experience in a middle management role within the life insurance industry, specifically in agency distribution.

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team of sales professionals and independent agency forces.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the proficiency to engage with a variety of stakeholders.

Deep understanding of the life insurance agents characteristic & behavior, and insurance regulatory environment (especially those related to agency).

Have strong network & relationship with life insurance agents

Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge in general insurance products is highly desirable.
