Mandarin Translator

The Mandarin Language Translator is responsible for accurately translating written and spoken content from Mandarin to English and vice versa. This role will report directly to the Language Services Manager and collaborate with various departments to ensure effective communication and understanding between Mandarin-speaking clients and the company. The translator will play a crucial role in facilitating smooth business operations and maintaining strong relationships with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Translate written documents from Mandarin to English and vice versa accurately and efficiently.

• Interpret verbal conversations and meetings between Mandarin and English speakers.

• Assist in the preparation and translation of marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, and website content.

• Collaborate with other translators and proofreaders to ensure consistency and accuracy in translations.

• Conduct research and stay updated on industry-specific terminology to provide accurate translations.

• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

• Adapt translations to target audience and cultural nuances to ensure effective communication.

• Assist in the localization of products and services for the Mandarin-speaking market.

• Provide language support and assistance to Mandarin-speaking employees or clients.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and understanding between Mandarin and English speakers.

REQUIREMENTS

• Fluent in Mandarin and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.

• Proven experience as a Mandarin language translator, with a strong understanding of cultural nuances and idiomatic expressions.

• Proficient in using translation software and tools, with the ability to accurately and efficiently translate documents, emails, and other written materials.

• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to proofread and edit translated texts for accuracy and clarity.

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
